Imran Khan - A life long struggle that bore fruit


Imran Khan a cricketer, a captain, a politician, a philanthropist, a party leader, a social worker, an Oxford graduate, an educationist and most of all a man with a vision. A vision to make Pakistan great. A vision to bring peace, prosperity, harmony and progress to Pakistan. A man who helps the needy. Honesty is the word that sums up Imran Khan's life. The charismatic Imran Khan is famous around the globe. Khan was the best all rounder in the game one of the finest cricketers Pakistan has produced. He was a heart throb, could easily mix with celebrities. 
Everything wasn't as easy as it seems to be today. Imran has a life long struggle. The struggle that made Imran Khan the man that he is today. His life had many ups and downs, many hardships and many problems. After all that suffering Khan is now the expected Prime Minister of Pakistan.
Lets take a look at Khan's life.

EARLY LIFE OF IMRAN KHAN

Imran Khan was born in Lahore in 1952. His father's name was Ikram Ullah Khan Niazi. Her mother was Shaukat Khanum the name on which his famous hospital is. He had four sisters. It was a Pashtun family belonging to the Niazi tribe. 
Khan was educated at Aitchison College in Lahore and the Royal Grammar School Worcester  
in England where it is said that he started cricket. In 1972, he was enrolled in Kebel College, Oxford for higher education where he studied Politics and Economics reportedly.

CRICKET CAREER

Imran was 9 years old when he developed an interest in cricket. He made his cricket debut at the age of 16. He made his test cricket debut against England in 1971. He was also a part of the Oxford University's cricket team. when Imran played his first test match he was dropped. He didn't played for 3 years. When all of a sudden he decided to make a comeback. In his second test match Imran Khan was balled out first. When he went back to the locker room the fellow cricketers hated him for what he had done. This was the start of Imran's cricket career. Khan has a story of failures. But he tried hard and kept on trying. He never let failures disappoint or dis heart him. He worked hard and made himself the man that he is today. The man failed each and every time but he held on to his dreams and tried again. Then he opted to become a fast bowler. He asked his seniors for coaching but everyone rejected him. Khan was told that if we wanted to change his actions he would lose his talent. Driven by his obsession, Khan is the only bowler who totally re modeled his actions. To reach his ambition was his goal. And he left no stone un turned to achieve it. He used to practice all day. If his team mates were tired he would go out and practice with the local kids. Nothing could stop him from playing cricket.
After the first series win in England he announced retirement. Later the current President Zia-ul-Haq called Imran and asked him to come out of retirement. And he wanted Khan to say yes. At that time Khan's mother passed away due to Cancer. The man was completely shattered. At that time Khan decided to build a Cancer hospital with free treatment.  
Khan rejoined the cricket team and lead the country to the world cup. The team lost three matches in the world cup series. Khan fought with his team members for not giving their best performance. Khan lost track. One night Khan was in his locker room trying to make a decision where he remembered his dream to make a free cancer Hospital. It was this dream that led him to World cup.

Khan's performance got better with his age. In the last 10 years of his career he averaged 50 as a batsman and 19 as a fast bowler. He played 88 tests, 48 as a captain. Under his captaincy Pakistan lost only eight times. Pakistan enjoyed historic wins.

FORMATION OF SHAUKAT KHANUM HOSPITAL

Everything wasn't as expected. Khan had very limited funds to create the free cancer care hospital. It took him a decade to build the hospital. There were many problems and challenges that Khan had to face in order to run the Hospital. Khan did not had money to run the hospital. He went to the people, begged on to the streets for funds to run the hospital. This is how he got the attention of the people towards his hospital. Khan was trusted and loved by the people. People believed in him and contributed generously toward his hospital.

PERSONAL LIFE

Imran Khan has a very controversial life. The heart throb got married three times. 

Imran Khan was married to Jemima Goldsmith in 1995. The couple have two sons. Sulaiman and Qasim. It was a nine year marriage that ended in 2004. The reasons being said is that it was difficult for Jemima to adapt to the Pakistani life.


In January 2015, Imran Khan married a British Pakistani journalist Reham Khan.
This marriage was not a very successful one. In the same year October Khan and Reham got divorced.

In the early 2018 rumours started to come out that Khan has married his spiritual adviser Bushra Maneka. Bushra Maneka belongs to a very influential family.

A NEW START AS A POLITICIAN

Khan saw the condition of his people. There was injustice and many other problems in Pakistan that were faced by the people. Khan decided to become a politician and work for the betterment of Pakistan. In 1996, Khan founded a political party named Pakistan Tehreek e Insaaf (PTI). The very first time Khan contested the elections, he failed. Khan along with his followers and supporters was questioned and highly criticized. It was said that Pakistan Tehreek e Insaaf (PTI)
was a party of kids who didnt even had Identity cards. It was also said that PTI was nothing more than an online campaign. PTI could only get votes on the internet. His party won just one seat until the 2013 general elections when they won 27 seats in the National Assembly. 
Khan has a very clear vision he wants to make Pakistan the most ideal place to live keeping in view the Islamic system. Khan fought for the betterment of Pakistan. He made the civilians, common people aware of their rights. Khan and company fought against corruption. The ruling party of Pakistan that was ruling Pakistan for many years. Khan made people aware and the people in return supported him. In the General elections of 2018 Khan won the elections against a very big party in Pakistan. Khan is soon to be the Prime Minister of Pakistan.

Khan has a lot to deliver. People have very high expectations from him. Lets see how Khan performs as the Prime Minister of Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
